PAST MASTERS NIGHT
On Monday March 1, the lodge will hold its Past Masters Night Recognition. Dinner will be served at 6:15 P.M.
After dinner, the Past Masters will be conferring the Master Mason degree to our newest members.
Please make a point to attend this evening and each of our stated meetings.
The fall barbecue was a tremendous success. We cooked about 2000 pounds of pork and sold most of it. We donated about 40 pounds of cooked meat to the Masonic and Eastern Star Home in Greensboro.
Thanks to everyone who helped out.
On January 4, 1999 we conferred the first degree to Bros. Morty Jayson and James McGaughey. They are being coached by Bro. Forrest Cannady.
If you are interested in coaching, please contact Forrest.
SCHOOL OF INSTRUCTION
The next School of Instruction for the 26th Masonic District is scheduled for March 11th & 25th, Thursday nights. Cary Lodge is the host for this event.
This will be a good time for those who want to learn the ritual and the proper way to confer the degrees to be present during this instruction period. We will need as many members as possible to satisfy our attendance requirement.
SCOTTISH RITE NEWS
The Valley of Raleigh will hold its Spring Reunion on March 12 and 13. If you or someone you know is interested in joining the Scottish Rite, please contact Kevin Hall, Membership Chairman at 380-1635.
LODGE & O.E.S. DINNER
On Thursday January 14, the lodge hosted a special get together. Members of the lodge and their families enjoyed a night of good food and a video that was taped from a show at a Branson, MO country music theater.
We had approximately 75 people show up for this event. Due to the success of this dinner/movie, another event will be scheduled for a later date.
Thanks to Forrest Cannady for organizing this event.

TRESTLE BOARD NEWS
It has been several months since our last issue. There is some talk of publishing a district wide newsletter that will include news items from all lodges in the district and sent to all members of said lodges. Currently each issue of our Trestle Board is sent to the lodges in the district and all Grand Lodge officers.
Please submit any news for the good of Masonry to Kevin Hall at email@example.com (text messages only, no attachments) or call 380-1635.
I want to thank the brethren who have commented on the newsletter and the material in it.
Kevin C. Hall
Your 1999 membership dues are now past due. To be in good standing in your lodge and in all appendent bodies you must have a current dues card.
Write to our kids at the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford. They sure would appreciate any correspondence from you.

Our Masonic youth groups need your support and help. Boys and girls, ages 11-20 will find plenty of excitement in our youth groups.
For girls, there is Job’s Daughters (must be related to a Master Mason) and Rainbow Girls (no relation required but must be sponsored by a Mason). Both groups have there own ritual and activities that will allow each girl to gain valuable life lessons and leadership skills.
For boys there is the Order of DeMolay. A boy between the ages of 13 and 20 may join. Valuable life lessons are also taught through their ritual.
You may run across a bethel, assembly, or chapter in your area having a fund raising event. Please take a moment and support them as the only income for the groups is from fundraisers and donations.
If you need more information on the organizations above or have someone you would like to sponsor, please feel free to contact Bro. Kevin Hall at 380-1635.
If you need to reserve the any part of the lodge, make ALL requests through the Master. He is keeping the calendar of events with him, therefore, there is no calendar on the secretary’s desk to reference.
